Violent incendie à l’imprimerie qui fabrique le Franc CFA à Chamalières
Un violent incendie s’est déclaré à l’imprimerie de la Banque de France ce mercredi 09 février à Chamalières (Puy-de-Dôme). L’information a été donnée par les pompiers contactés par France Bleu Pays d’Auvergne.
C’est dans cette imprimerie que sont fabriqués les billets de banque, notamment le Franc CFA. Depuis 10 heures, un épais panache de fumée a été aperçu en train de se dégager des bâtiments de l’imprimerie.
Comme l’affirment des images publiées sur les réseaux sociaux montrant au début de l’incendie de la fumée noire se dégageant du bâtiment. Ainsi, un premier bilan établi par la préfecture a fait état de 24 personnes légèrement intoxiquées, dont quatre ont été transportées au CHU de Clermont-Ferrand.
Les pompiers sont en cours d’intervention, le boulevard Duclaux est fermé à la circulation devant l’entrée du bâtiment. La préfecture demande par ailleurs à la population riveraine de rester chez elle et de ne pas ouvrir les fenêtres en raison du dégagement de fumées.
